CAMPERSHIP

It is the belief of the LaSalle Council that financial limitations should ever prevent a youth from joining a Scouting program or a Scout from attending summer camp. As the Scout Law says, a Scout is helpful. With the support of our generous donors, the LaSalle Council would like to extend opportunities for financial assistance to those who may need it.

Eligibility

Only youth who are registered members of the LaSalle Council are eligible for campership opportunities. Registered adult leaders may apply for financial assistance and will be considered for assistance as long as funding allows.

Where Can I Use My Campership?

Camperships may only be used at camps offered by the LaSalle Council. These camps include Cub Day Camp, Cub Resident Camp and STEM Day Camp. Camperships for events such as Philmont and the National Jamboree may be available on a limited basis but are not guaranteed.

What About Membership Fees?

The LaSalle Council offers some membership assistance programs for families interested in joining one of our Scouting programs. As part of an outreach program, our council has partnered with select South Bend Schools to provide Scouting to their students. Before applying for membership assistance, please contact Jeff Smith to find out if your school participates in this partnership program.

How Do I Apply for a Campership or Membership Assistance?

Follow the instructions and return the appropriate form to the council office.

How Are Selections Made?

All applications are evaluated based on description of financial need and youth efforts in fundraising.
